This monumental Corpus Christi originates from the provincial Spanish or Portuguese ecclesiastical carving tradition, produced for churches, chapels or private devotion. Fragments of historic painted preparation remain visible in hair, drapery and protected recesses.

Honestly assessed: poor condition, with extensive polychromy loss, historic insect damage, splitting, incomplete fingers and feet, old repairs; original cross absent. Offered as a historic devotional fragment; professional conservation advised.
