Fate

Fate builds a suspended terrain of ochre light and mineral greys, interrupted by concentrated passages of brown and black and a single vertical trace descending through the entire composition -- a device that reads almost like a fault line running through the painted field.

Among the Verplancke panels in this collection, Fate is the most stripped-back in gesture. Presented on original stretched canvas, ready to hang. Very good condition.
