Untitled Geometric Polyptych

This monumental geometric polyptych by Belgian artist David Kuppens is composed of thirty individually framed canvases assembled into a single architectural image. A sequence of concentric circles establishes the central structure, while striped fields, chequered passages, linear divisions and sharply defined colour zones extend across the separate panels. Genuine gold leaf is applied throughout selected lines and surfaces, introducing a changing reflective quality. The visible divisions between the canvases are integral to the composition, creating a deliberate tension between fragmentation and unity.
